Botox Offer Comfort and Privacy

If you want to erase the effects of time but don't want to undergo a drastic cosmetic procedure like a facelift, you might want to consider an injectable filler to plump up and smooth out unwanted wrinkles.

Botox is one of the most popular methods of treating facial creases and an emerging trend for the procedure is Botox parties. You can gather a group of your friends, or make new ones, and undergo the simple process in the comfort and privacy of your own home, a friend's home or in a spa environment with a certified physician present.

Botox is a bacterium that paralyzes the muscle at the point it is injected. When fine or deep facial lines are treated with it, they vanish almost immediately, giving a smooth, youthful appearance that lasts anywhere from three to eight months. Most often it is used for crow's feet around the eyes, forehead furrows, and frown lines, but it can even be used ease excessive sweating under the arms.

If you feel that this injectable is right for you, you may decide that an alternative to a hospital visit or a cosmetic surgeon's office is a Botox party.

Botox parties are the rage that brings the cosmetic surgeon to you, allowing you and a group of others to share the joy of a new makeover together.

The surgeon will come to the host's house or sometimes the parties are held after hours in a luxurious spa, and one room will be designated for the procedure. After signing a consent form, each party member will go into the room and the Botox will be injected into the desired locations while those waiting can socialize and have time to relax before the procedure. With a certified medical professional, all of the equipment used is sterile and safe.

One major benefit of a Botox party is that there is normally a group discount. Another benefit is having the emotional support of your friends nearby. Some parties prefer not to go into a separate room and would rather have the procedure done in front of the group. Either way, both men and women feel less isolated when they know that there is a room full of others with the same dissatisfactions and insecurities.

Although the idea of a party might bring to mind cocktails and fun, keep in mind that receiving Botox is a delicate procedure that takes concentration and skill. It is not recommended that you drink alcoholic beverages before the injection is administered. It is also important to be sensitive and maintain in a calm atmosphere so those undergoing injections will remain relaxed and feel safe.

Although normally fixtures of large cities like Manhattan and Los Angeles, many surgeons nationwide are willing to participate in Botox parties. If you have a group of people interested, contact local board certified surgeons that have participated in the events before and inquire about setting up your own.
